Helicobacter Pylori is a helically-shaped bacterium that can usually be found in the stomach.
In general over 50% of the world’s population has H. pylori in the upper gastrointestinal tract with it being more common in developing countries. In all events an H.pylori infection is usually asymptomatic but is also associated with gastritis or gastric ulcers. The bacteria adapted to survive the highly acidic environment of the stomach by burrowing into the mucus lining and producing large amounts of urease.
The Bacteriophages are true to scale to the bacterium and accurately represent the size difference between phages and bacteria.
